This is who we are.

We are a body of Christ followers endeavoring to live cross-shaped lives as we carry out the great commission!

We accept and honor the sacrifice and gift of salvation through the life of Jesus Christ. We take our job as the church seriously and believe it is an honor to be entrusted to act as God’s servants on earth.

We love unconditionally and serve faithfully to see the lost and lonely become found and known.

We are diligent in building and maintaining kingdom relationships with one another and this compels us to authenticity and  transparency.

OUR VALUES AND BELIEFS

  • We firmly believe that God has built this house on a foundation of biblical  truth. We know that is a safe place for cultivation and development. We walk in obedience to  ensure that we don’t stray from His will for CrossFaith. While we strive to be relevant, we are  also unwilling to compromise the truth of God’s word. This is paramount to every other belief, dream or ideal we hold.

He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage  others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.  - Titus 1:9

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in  righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

  • We believe that being relevant gives us a greater reach. We want to stay  current so that all kinds of people feel welcome. We do this by playing and singing current music  and creating a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere for fellowship.

We know that church  can be a scary place for some, we want to remove these ideas and make CrossFaith a welcoming  place. Part of achieving this means keeping outdated practices that are affiliated with religion  instead of relationship out of CrossFaith Church.

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many  as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like  one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law.

To  those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's  law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became  weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might  save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. - 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

  • We believe every person is called to be a disciple; we also believe there is no  prerequisite to discipling others. We know that lost people matter to God; therefore, they  matter to us. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and has left us here to do the same.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of  the Son and of the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 28:19

  • We know God has called us to relationship with one another. We believe that the  only way to build and maintain relationships that glorify God is to set them on a foundation of  truth. We enjoy walking with each other through the trials of life and we do that effectively by  being transparent and vulnerable with one another. We believe this is how God teaches us  compassion and compels us to love unconditionally.

Do to others as you would have them do to you. - Luke 6:31

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices. - Colossians 3:9

  • We know that God regards our worship to him as sacred, and we strive to make  worship a part of our lives every day. We believe that worship is much, much more than the few  songs we play during our Sunday morning services but a gift to God that we can incorporate into  everything we do. We see our service to the kingdom and our service to others as worship, we  believe working our secular jobs and bringing the light of Christ into those places can be worship,  we believe parenting our children well is an act of worship.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living  sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship. - Romans 12: 1

  • The word serve appears 309 times throughout the bible. We believe that we are  commissioned by God to serve one another and the church as Christ served us. This is done by  serving gladly in the home, community and especially in the church.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves  fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. - 1 Corinthians 15:58

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the  flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one  command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.  - Galatians 5:13-14

  • We believe diversity increases our ability to obtain biblical understanding. Diversity  broadens our perspectives, our understanding and our application of scripture. We know that  Heaven will be an incredibly diverse place and we want to cultivate that same culture at  CrossFaith. We know that having different viewpoints makes us infinitely more effective for the  Kingdom. We embrace all different, ages, class levels and walks of life. We enjoy relationship  with one another outside of the boundaries that the world sets and we are stronger for it.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for  you are all one in Christ Jesus.” - Galatians 3:28

  • CrossFaith Church holds to the truth found in Romans 12:2 which states  “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We know that God wants to transform our lives, for us that begins in the mind. For true  transformation to occur in our hearts, we believe God has to and restore our minds. This means  undoing the incorrect beliefs we’ve held, repenting and taking intentional steps toward healing.  We want to fully reach our potential in Christ and we acknowledge that in order to do that we  have to allow God to change us from the inside out.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:2

  • We believe God’s plan for the salvation of humanity is very evident in the divine design  of the family unit. We advocate for and protect the sanctity of covenant marriage, present and  healthy parents and spiritually flourishing children. We know that many live with gaps in their  own families and we strive to stand in those gaps and be beacons of God’s love and faithfulness.  Furthermore, we take children’s ministry seriously. We are passionate about brining God’s word  to life in the hearts of the next generations of CrossFaith Church.

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. - Mark 10:9

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which  is the first commandment with a promise - Ephesians 6:1-2

The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. - Genesis 2:23-24

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. - Psalm 127:3-5

  • We believe stewardship is about more than how you handle your tithe,  but also how you handle the other ninety percent of your income. The bible contains 2,350  verses about money and possessions. 15% of everything Jesus said related to the issue of money  so we acknowledge the importance of how we regard it. In our culture materialism runs deeper  than we realize and affects believers and non-believers alike. Matthew 6:24 states “No one can  serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the  one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” We believe the solution is to  teach true biblical stewardship. To change not only the behavior but also the heart through the  power of scripture. There is no age, income level or demographic exempt from this need.

CrossFaith Church is incredibly blessed and so we are called to wise stewardship of the resources  The Lord extends to us. Generosity is a big part of this. We know that we can’t out give God and  we believe his promise of abundance over us. We give with cheerful hearts to support the work  of the local church and world missions because that truly is our heart.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. - Matthew 6:21
